Day 6… a bit on #Movement today - #Physical Pillar
Quick one today, as I’ve left this a bit late, and I am oh so keen to get back to the couch for some series-watching!
My husband is away this weekend, and it’s raining all weekend, so I am enjoying a chill, wholesome weekend, with a lot of alone time. I really look forward to to these weekends, but my mind is definitely prone to overthinking / ruminating when I’m home alone.
I have learnt that going for a walk fixes this pretty much 100% of the time.
Every time I start to feel a bit anxious, I get outside for a walk. Fresh air, natural light, movement, no phone, quality time with the dog, human connection (plenty of HIs and HELLOs if you have a dog), and taking in my surroundings… it’s a no brainer!
Now, it’s not always easy to remove myself, especially if I’m feeling a bit frazzled, but it gets easier the more I do it - positive reinforcement, eh!!
The more frazzled I feel, the longer I make the walk. There is literally zero sacrifice with this exercise - it’s all win!
Alright, back to the couch! It’s been a long day of walking ;)
